privacy policy

this policy covers shkeffy.com, dashboard.shkeffy.com and our other shkeffy.com sites. it is for visitors, people who use the earnings estimator or book a call, creators and their representatives, and business contacts.

shkeffy LLC (shkeffy, we, us) decides how this information is used. services like Google, Spotify, YouTube, Discord, WhatsApp and PayPal handle what you give them under their own policies.

our own visit measurement records:

• the pages you view and how long you are active on each
• your approximate location (country, region and city), worked out from your connection
• your device type, browser and operating system
• the site you came from and any campaign tags in the link
• clicks on our booking, email, log in and social links

it does not save your IP address with visit records. it uses a one-way scrambled form of it for about a minute to block floods of requests.

separately, our servers keep technical logs, including IP addresses and browser details, to keep the site running and secure.

• the YouTube channel you pick or paste, and its public details from YouTube (name, handle, subscribers, views and uploads)
• your email address, saved with the channel you checked
• the estimate we work out for you
• the time of the request, plus your connection details to stop abuse

we email you your estimate, and we may follow up about working with shkeffy network. reply "stop" to any follow-up and we stop.

booking a call: your name, email, time zone, chosen time, and your notes or answers on the booking page, which can include a phone number or website.

if we record or transcribe a call, we tell you first.

contacting us by email, WhatsApp or Discord: what you send, and what that service shows us about you, such as your name, number or username.

• your legal name, email address and password. passwords are stored only as a bcrypt hash, never in plain text
• your company name, if you sign as a company
• your country, display currency and channel links
• how you want to be paid and the details needed to pay you, such as a PayPal email address
• your signed creator agreement
• tax forms (W-9, W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E), which include your name, address, tax identification number, country of residence and signature
• revenue, payout and channel performance records for your content
• referral details and notes you give us
• account activity, such as sign-ins, changes and signatures

the details we need to sign you up, pay you and meet tax rules are required. the rest is optional.

creator names, pictures and public channel numbers can appear on our creators page and in case studies, as your creator agreement allows.

our own visit measurement sets two cookies holding random IDs: a visitor ID that lasts up to a year and a session ID that lasts 30 minutes. they are signed so they cannot be faked, they are only sent to our measurement address, and they do not hold your name or email. they are pseudonymous, not anonymous: if you sign up later, we could in principle connect them to you, but we do not.

if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, our own measurement does not run. we also skip known bots by their browser name.

shkeffy.com also uses Google Analytics on every visit, including visits that send those signals. it sets its own cookies and sends Google your page views, device details and approximate location. you can stop it with Google's opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies.

signing in to the dashboard sets a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 400 days. logging out ends the session on our servers and removes the cookie.

the site loads fonts from Google Fonts and some images and widgets from services like YouTube and Discord, so those services see your IP address.

you can block or delete cookies in your browser. the site still works, but you will be signed out of the dashboard.

• to run the site and send you your estimate
• to follow up about your estimate or booking, and to tell creators about new platforms or sponsorships
• to sign up, pay and report to creators
• to collect tax forms and keep financial records the law requires
• to understand how the site is used and improve it
• to keep the site and accounts safe and stop fraud and abuse
• to build network-wide totals and benchmarks, such as the numbers behind the estimator
• to answer you, meet legal obligations and protect our rights

account, payment and security messages are not marketing, so you get them even if you unsubscribe from marketing.

we do not sell your personal information. we share it only as needed with:

• our hosting provider, which runs our servers and databases in the United States
• Google, for email, calendar bookings, analytics and fonts
• payment services and banks, such as PayPal, to pay creators
• Spotify and other distribution platforms, for the accounts and content we manage for creators
• sponsors and distribution partners, with a creator's creator profile and channel numbers, when the creator agrees or their agreement allows
• professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers

we never share visitors' or listeners' personal information with sponsors.

we may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect people or our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business, under the same protections.

• visit measurement: kept as visit records to see trends over time. they do not hold your name, email or IP address
• estimator and booking records: kept while we may follow up with you, or until you ask us to delete them
• creator accounts and signed agreements: kept while you work with us and afterwards for as long as the agreement or the law needs
• payout and tax records: kept at least as long as tax and accounting rules require, usually seven years
• server logs: kept for a short time for security and troubleshooting

deleted data can stay in our backups until those backups expire. we may keep records longer if a dispute or legal request needs them.

• email shawn@shkeffy.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. we reply within 30 days and may need to confirm it is you first. we cannot delete records the law requires us to keep, such as tax records
• stop marketing emails by replying "stop" or emailing us. we act on it within 10 business days
• turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control to switch off our own visit measurement
• use Google's opt-out add-on or block cookies to stop Google Analytics

if you live somewhere with privacy laws that give you more rights, such as California, the EU or the UK, email us and we will honor the rights that apply to you.

the site uses HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and access to creators' records is limited to people who need it. no system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. if a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

we operate from the United States and store your information there. if you use the site from another country, your information is sent to and handled in the United States.

the site is not for children under 13, and dashboard accounts are for people 18 or older. if you think a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.

we may update this policy. the date at the top shows the current version. for significant changes we will tell account holders by email or in the dashboard.
